Mitchell Boyce Walling

Mitchell Boyce Walling, 66, of Calamine, Arkansas went to his Heavenly Home on Wednesday, December 20, 2023 with his family at his side. He was born December 23, 1956 in Pocahontas, Arkansas to Boyce and Margaret Walling. Mitch married the love of his life, Judy Mullen Walling on August 14, 1976. He retired from Future Fuel after working there for over 45 years. He has been a poultry and cattle farmer since 1992. He also coached his children’s ball teams, served on the Cave City School Board for several years, and he was inducted into the Caveman Hall of Fame in 2022. He was currently serving on the Grange Calamine Water Board. Mitch was a member of the Corinth Missionary Baptist Church where he was a deacon.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Harmon and Blanche Walling, Eddie Winters and Alberta Turnbow; his father and mother in love, OC and Jo Mullen; and one brother in love, Mike Mullen.

Mitch is survived by his wife, Judy Walling of the home; his parents, Boyce and Margaret Walling; his children, Eddie Walling (Crystal), Nathan Walling (Jennifer) and Bobbi  Lee Skipper (Chad) all of Cave City, Arkansas; his siblings, Renita Koch (Steve) of Locust Grove, Arkansas, Teresa Walling (Jarrod McBride) of Pleasant Plains, Arkansas, Mike Walling (Gina) of Grange, Arkansas and Marc Walling (Robin) of Calamine, Arkansas; his grandchildren, Clayton, Hannah, Jordan, Seth, Avery, Evan and Sammie Jo Walling, and Maggie and Mason Skipper all of Cave City, Arkansas; nieces, nephews and a host of other relatives and many friends.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, December 22, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. at the First Baptist Church in Cave City, Arkansas with Tracy Grissom officiating.  Burial will follow in the Hillhouse Cemetery in Smithville, Arkansas with arrangements by Qualls Funeral Home of Cave City, Arkansas.

Visitation will begin at 12:00 p.m. until service time at the church on Friday, December 22, 2023.

Pallbearers will be Clayton Walling, Seth Walling, Dennis Walling, Grant Walling, Matt Snyder, David Snyder, Joseph Snyder and Jim Baxter.

Honorary pallbearers will be Hannah Walling, Jordan Walling, Avery Walling, Evan Walling, Sammie Jo Walling, Maggie Skipper, Mason Skipper, Brian Morrison and Robert Walling.
