Nannie Lou Chisolm Norris was born December 29, 1930 in Lepanto, Arkansas and departed this life July 20, 2020. She was the oldest of three children born to John Clyde Chisolm and Eva Laura Weems Chisolm. She was saved at an early age and baptized into the Walnut Street Baptist Church, Jonesboro on September 9, 1945 and faithfully served her Lord throughout her life.
On October 14, 1949, she married William E. Norris and they were married until his death on November 8, 2013. In addition to her parents and her husband, Nan was preceded in death by her brother, J.C. Chisolm Jr.
She is survived by one sister, Pat Chisolm of Mt. Pleasant, MI; her children, Ed (Fredia) Norris of Monticello, KY and Debbie Reeder of Batesville; six grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren.
Nan was a faithful helpmeet and Pastor’s wife, serving in many ways the various churches her husband pastored. In addition, she served as Recording Secretary for the ABA National Ladies Auxiliary for two years.
Her life can be summed up in the word “service”, for she always served her Lord, husband, family, churches, and friends throughout her life. She leaves behind a host of family and friends who look forward to a great reunion in Heaven.
Funeral services will be held Friday, July 24, 2020 at 10:00 a.m. at the Qualls Batesville Funeral Service Chapel with Bro. Ron Canard officiating. Burial will follow in the Mt. Zion Cemetery in Batesville.
Visitation will be Thursday, July 23, 2020 from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Dean Parsley, Greg Parsley, Don Provence, Greg Hodge, Alex Magar and Mike Elder.
