Ramona Croft Shirley, 88, of Cave City passed away Saturday, July 29, 2023 in Batesville. She was born September 11, 1934 in Egypt, Arkansas to Woodrow and Elsie Hutchison. She was a member of the Harrison Street Church of Christ. She enjoyed traveling, flowers, sewing quilts for her family, games and tea parties with her grandchildren. She also loved to read and listen to the Grand Ole Opry.
She is preceded in death by her parents; her husbands, Lloyd Curtis Browning and Donald Wayne Croft; one son, John Wayne Croft; one brother, Randall Clay Hutchison; and one sister, Gyspie Rose Qualls.
Survivors include her husband, Elbert Shirley of the home; her son, David Croft (Karen); four daughters, Cynthia Arnn (Joe), Deborah Browning, Beverly Wright (Robby) and Karen Bailey (Jeff); three sisters, Emma Caples (Wayne), Anna Morris (Dean) and Linda Simmons (James); grandchildren, Dylan Croft, Jodi Moody, Lorrie Smith, Sarah May, Alan Wright, Jordan Croft, Paige Croft, Chris Bailey, Denver Jameson, Bekah Bailey and Michael Bailey; great grandchildren, Haley Croft, Macy Moody, Max Moody, William Smith, Matthew Smith, Emmy May, Elsie Wright, Evie Wright, Miller Wright, Pepper Jameson, Van Jameson, Cecilia Jameson, Olive Bailey, Levi Bailey and Elijah Bailey; and other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be Wednesday, August 2, 2023 at 10:00 a.m. at the Qualls Funeral Home Chapel with Allen Meizner officiating. Burial will follow in the Trinity Cemetery in Bono at 2:00 p.m. with arrangements by Qualls Funeral Home of Cave City.
Visitation will be Tuesday, August 1, 2023 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be her grandsons and great grandsons.
