Ray H. Clark, 90, of Strawberry, Arkansas passed away on Wednesday, September 13, 2023 in Jonesboro, Arkansas. He was born September 18, 1932 in Camden, Tennessee to Earl A. Clark and Bessie M. Cole. He was retired from Arkansas Highway and Transportation Department where he was a senior inspector and was employed there for 30 years. He was a member of the Strawberry Southern Baptist Church where he served as a trustee. Ray also served four years in the United States Navy. He enjoyed gardening, hunting, fishing, building things and hummingbirds. He was also considered a natural engineer.
He is preceded in death by his parents; and his brother, Jerry Ben Clark.
He is survived by his wife of 70 years, Marilyn Guillory Clark of the home; two sons, Kenneth Ray Clark (Patricia) of Corinth, Kentucky and Morris Joseph Clark (Denise) of Scotland, Arkansas; three daughters, Adella Martin of Marion, Arkansas, Katherine Ladean Aughenbaugh of Wilson, Arkansas and Jannette Coon (Kevin) of Walnut Hill, Florida; his brother, John David Clark of Huntington, Tennessee; two sisters, Joyce Walker of Huntington, Tennessee and Marion Smith of Southhaven, Mississippi; twelve grandchildren, thirty two great grandchildren; and other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held Monday, September 18, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. at the Strawberry Southern Baptist Church with Craig Campbell officiating. Burial will follow in the Lancaster Cemetery in Strawberry with arrangements by Qualls Funeral Home of Cave City.
Visitation will be held Monday, September 18, 2023 from 1:00 p.m. until service time at the church.
