Rex Bonham

Rex Felix Bonham 83, of Batesville, Arkansas went to be with the Lord at 5:30 pm 5/22/2024 a saved man.  He was born in Piggott, Arkansas 5/22/1941 to James Burrus Bonham and Addie Mae (Cochran) Bonham.  Rex was saved in 1972 in Walnut Ridge Arkansas.  He was blessed with a daughter 7/30/1966.  Rex met his beloved wife of 20 years, Joe Ann Bonham at a family dance in Mountain View, Arkansas.  They were married in Cherokee Village, Arkansas 5/1/2004.  Rex then welcomed Lee Scott as his son.  Rex and Joe Ann joined the family of Generations Church of Batesville, Arkansas four years ago.

Rex retired from Con Agra and has enjoyed remodeling and renovating the family home with Joe Ann.

Rex is proceeded in death by his parents James Burrus Bonham and Mother Addie Mae (Cochran) Bonham, brother James Authur Bonham, sister Norma Lee Bonham and sister in law Virginia Bonham.  

Survivors include Wife Joe Ann Bonham, Stepson Lee Scott and his wife Anne Scott.  Grandchildren; William Scott, Joey Scott, Anne Scott, Justin Scott, Kyle Scott and Tara Scott all of Canton, Ohio.  Daughter Vicki Lynn (Bonham) Simington and Son in Law Craig Simington, Grandchildren Rebecca Lynn (Simington) Bruning and husband Jacob Bruning, Jonathan David Simington, Kaitlyn Elizabeth Simington and Great Grandchildren; Libby, Remi and Vivian Bruning all of Ballwin, Missour; his sister, Patricia Ann (Bonham) Cate of Walnut Ridge, Arkansas as well as a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be on Saturday, May 25, 2024 at 2:00pm at the Qualls Batesville Funeral Service Chapel with Bro. Jeff Elder officiating.

Burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens located in Batesville.

Visitation will be on Saturday, May 25, 2024 from 1:00pm until service time at the funeral home.

Arrangements are by Qualls Batesville Funeral Service.

Pallbearers will be Craig Simington, Bill Nusbaum, Mario Garcia, Peter Kazlaskas, Lee Scott, Chance Rogers and Tim Hoover.
