Richard Wilson Branscum, 90, of Salado passed away on Monday, January 9, 2023 in Batesville. He was born April 17, 1932 in Rosie, Arkansas to Elbert and Nettie Branscum. He was a heating and air specialist, auto mechanic, stone mason was also worked for Southside water utility. He was also a member of the Salado Baptist Church.
He enjoyed hunting, fishing, croquet and spending time with his family.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Twyliah Jane Branscum; a daughter, Deborah Jean Acklin; four brothers, Edward, Clarence, Bo and Billy Branscum; a sister, Irene Lucy; a grandson, Timothy Ray Blaxton and a Great-Great Grandchild, Aiden Cage Hubbard.
Survivors include a daughter, Nettie Janie Blaxton (Gerald) ; a son in law, Dale Acklin; a brother, Finis Branscum; a sister, Dorothy Ferguson; six grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren, fourteen great-great grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be on Friday, January 13, 2023 at 2:00PM at the Qualls Batesville Funeral Service Chapel. Burial will follow at the Blue Springs Cemetery in Newark.

Visitation will be on Friday, January 13, 2023 at 1:00PM until service time at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Skyler Mitchell, Austin Thompson, Tyler Thompson, William Branscum, Chuck Branscum and Jadyn Ballard.
Honorary pallbearers are Brandon, Dillion and Carson
