Rose Ellen Orrick

Rose Ellen Orrick, 73, of Batesville passed away February 12, 2025 at Batesville. She was born May 14, 1951 at Batesville to Herman Loyal and Lucy Berneace (Hodges) Matheny. She was a retired school teacher and a member of the Strawberry Church of Christ. She enjoyed gardening, crocheting, time with family, reading, and sweet tea.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Mike Orrick; and brother, Robert Matheny.

Survivors include one son, Jason Orrick (Crystal) of Lynn; two daughters, Natalie Wheaton (Justin) of Batesville and Cindy Burgess (Michael) of Judsonia; one brother, Jerry Matheny (Beverly) of Strawberry; five grandchildren, Jaret, Kolby, Abby, Kynlee, and Kenzie; two great grandchildren, Callie and Evelyn JoAnn along with a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be Saturday, February 15, 2025, 12:00 P.M. at the Strawberry Church of Christ with Bro. Tommie Boles officiating. Burial will follow in the Ward Cemetery located at Strawberry.

Arrangements by Qualls Batesville Funeral Service.

Visitation will begin Saturday, February 15, 2025, 10:00 A.M. until service time at the church.

Pallbearers will be Jason Orrick, Justin Wheaton, Jaret Orrick, Kolby Clifton, Michael Burgess, and Stacy Matheny.
