Shirley Weeks Rose, 76, of Desha died Sunday, February 10, 2019. She was born April 5, 1942 at Phil Campbell, Alabama to Andrew and Gracie Weeks. She was retired from ConAgra Foods in Batesville and a member of the Jamestown Missionary Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Jimmy Rose; one daughter, Sheri Lynn Rose; four brothers, J.D. Weeks, Gene Weeks, R.C. Weeks, and infant Linden Weeks; and four sisters, Nola Isom, Sovalo “Buddy” Harris, Iva Dean Oneal, and Willie Hollaway.
Survivors include one son, Mike Rose of Jamestown; two daughters, Kimberly Jackson (Brandon) of Cord and Missy Dickens (Sam) of Texarkana, Arkansas; two brothers, Bo Weeks (Connie) and Grailen Weeks (Patty) both of Phil Campbell, Alabama; two sisters, Lilly Schrader (Jerry) and Cathy Schrader both of Sedalia, Missouri; four grandchildren, Jimmy Rose (Michelle) of Hot Springs, Whitney Reeves and Megan Garner (Layton) both of Moorefield, and Nick Jackson (Katie) of Charlotte; four great-grandchildren, Evan Rose and Ella Rose both of Hot Springs and Easton Jackson and Mason Jackson both of Charlotte; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be Wednesday, February 13, 2019 from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at the Qualls Batesville Funeral Service Chapel.
Graveside services will be Thursday, February 14, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. at the Qulin Cemetery in Qulin, Missouri with arrangements by Qualls Batesville Funeral Service.
Pallbearers will be Layton Garner, Billy Rose, Chris Helm, Luke Helm, Garrick Harris, and Tony Reeves.
Honorary Pallbearers are Jack Helm, Kenny Rose, Nick Jackson, Keith Crutcher, Dr. Seth Barnes, and the Staff of Cave City Nursing Home.
