Stephen Jones

Stephen Jones, 72, of Batesville died Tuesday, June 19, 2018. He was born February 21, 1946 in Verona, Kentucky to Louis Boyd and Dora Ethel Rust Jones. He was a retired construction superintendent having worked for Brown and Root Construction and Cameron Construction. He was a member of the White River Baptist Church in Oil Trough.

He was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters, Mary Lou Jones, and Janet Faye Poole.

Survivors include his wife of 54 years, Barbara Thomas Jones of the home; two daughters, Rhonda Fowler (Russell) of Cave City, and Belinda Kisling (Steve) of Oil Trough; one brother, Joe Jones (Juanita) of Verona, Kentucky; two sisters, Betty Bayer of Warsaw, Kentucky, and Joyce Masters (Bobby) of Verona, Kentucky; one grandson, Jonathan Fowler (Kari) of Cave City; and two great-granddaughters, Kambrea Fowler and Whitley Fowler; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral Services will be Friday, June 22, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. at the Qualls Batesville Funeral Service Chapel with Bro. Jamie Joe Barber officiating. Burial will follow in the Maple Springs Cemetery located near Rosie.

Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. until service time at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be Russell Fowler, Jonathan Fowler, Steve Kisling, Rick Fuller, David Jones, and David Pankey.

Honorary pallbearers are Lynn Fuller, Glynn Fuller, Max Webb, and Parmer Hankins.
