Thurman Langston, 74 of Batesville passed away Wednesday, September 15, 2021. He was born July 16, 1947 in Batesville, Arkansas to Thurman H. Langston Sr. and Myrle Gibson Langston. He was a retired truck driver, a U.S. Air Force Vietnam Veteran and of the Catholic faith. He was also a member of the Knights of Columbus.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Survivors include his wife of 53 years, Betty Langston of the home; two sons, Bryan Langston (Carla) and Brad Langston (Karen) both of Batesville; one daughter, Nanda Grubb (Jason) of Galesburg, Illinois; one sister, Delois Cox (Kenneth) of Hot Springs; six grandchildren, Zach Langston, Katelyn Langston, Will Langston, Evie Grubb, Elizabeth Langston and Will Grubb; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be Saturday, September 18, 2021 at 3:00 p.m. at the Qualls Batesville Funeral Service Chapel with Rev. Katie Pearce officiating. Burial will follow in the Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Batesville.
Visitation will be from 2:00 p.m. until service time at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Randall King, Greg King, Rodney Henderson, Brad Moody, Greg Cox and Terry Cox.
Honorary pallbearers are Drew Brooks, Dr. William Waldrip, Herb King, Melvin Smith and Alan Love.
