Tommy Lee James

Tommy Lee James, 63, of Batesville, AR passed away at White River Health in Batesville on Wednesday, November 23, 2022. Tommy was born April 19, 1959 in Batesville to Dewey and Mary Kunkel James of Cedar Grove, AR. Tommy was a member of the Cedar Grove Missionary Baptist Church and attended Cave City High School. His hobbies were comic books and riding motor bikes. Tommy also enjoyed sharing his family genealogy and pictures, and visiting with friends and local businesses.

Tommy is preceded in death by his parents; maternal grandparents, John and Alta Metcalf Kunkel; paternal grandparents, George W and Adaline Stephens James; brother, Vernon Kunkel James; and half brothers, Dewey R James, Delos James, George Newton James, Norman James and Joey Conway.

Tommy is survived by his sister Ethel Faye James of Amity, Arkansas, nephews Gene and John Tigue, George N James Jr, Keith, James, and Tony Conway, and niece, Joanne James, as well as many cousins and friends.

A memorial service for Tommy will be held at Cedar Grove Missionary Baptist Church on Sunday, December 4, at 2 PM with Pastor Robert Lee and John Sanders officiating. Burial will follow at James Cemetery in the Cedar Grove community.
