Vaughn Dean Matlock

Vaughn Dean Matlock, 78 of Cave City died Sunday, March 1, 2020. He was born September 16, 1941 in Cave City, Arkansas to Fate and Virgie Matlock.  He was retired manager of North Arkansas Farm Supply, retired manager of Fly Ash/Headwaters in Newark and in recent years had been a Delivery Specialist for Bad Boy Mowers.  He attended First Free Will Baptist Church in Cave City.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Mary “Mert” Matlock.

Survivors include two daughters, Angie Womack and husband Reid and Jody Hawkins and husband Richard II both of Cave City; one sister, Mary Ellen Goff of Cave City; two grandchildren, Dane Womack (Jill) of Paragould and Corey Womack (Patricia) of North Little Rock; two great grandchildren, Edith Jane Womack and William Holden Womack; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be Thursday, March 5, 2020 at 10:00 a.m. at the First Free Will Baptist Church in Cave City with Rev. Dane Womack and Bro. Steven Martin officiating. Burial will follow in the Cave City Cemetery with arrangements by Qualls Funeral Home of Cave City.

Visitation will be Wednesday, March 4, 2020 from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at the church.

Pallbearers will be Rustin Wooldridge, Curt Wooldridge, Carson Day, Paden Day, Tim Mobley and Larry Wilson.

Honorary pallbearers are Gerald Provence, John Ables, Tyler Parsley, Cody Parsley and Eric Perkey.
