Virgil Lee "Dick" Milligan

Virgil Lee “Dick” Milligan, 94 of Batesville died Monday, June 18, 2018 at his home. He was born December 2, 1923 at Batesville, Arkansas to George and Lucy Patterson Milligan. He was a retired brick layer/mason and a member of the Harrison Street Church of Christ.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Mildred Marie Milligan; one brother, Owen George “Steve” Milligan; two sisters, Margaret Milligan Nail and Ruby Elizabeth Milligan Smith.

Survivors include one son, Scott Leslie Milligan of Batesville; one brother, Harry Francis Milligan of Little Rock; two sisters, Pearl Milligan Isley of Batesville and Betty Jean Milligan Duncan of Poughkeepsie; two grandsons, Corey Grant Milligan and Dylan Keifer Milligan both of Batesville; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be Thursday, June 21, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. at the Harrison Street Church of Christ with Steve Smith officiating. Burial will follow in Oaklawn Cemetery with arrangements by Qualls Batesville Funeral Service.

Visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. until service time at the church.

Pallbearers will be Pete Ring, Benson Hardaway, Steve Wells, Phillip Lloyd, John Treece, and Ted Hyslip.

Honorary Pallbearers are the Elders, Deacons, and Members of the Harrison Street Church of Christ.
