Virgil Womock, 86, of Floral died Tuesday, June 11, 2019. He was born May 31, 1933 at Devalls Bluff, Arkansas to William David and Etta Ann Barnes Womock. He was a cattle farmer, a U.S. Navy Korean War Veteran having served on the USS Midway, and a member of the Floral Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Junior Johnson; and sisters, Clara Smith and Hester Altom.
Survivors include his wife of 62 years, Norma Wood Womock; four daughters, Vanessa Womock of Lewisville, Texas, Donna Bruno and husband, Mike of Boulder City, Nevada, Vivian Davidson and husband, Jeff of Liberty, Missouri, and Glenda Womock of Batesville; one brother, Cleon Womock and wife, Glenna of Indianapolis, Indiana; 8 grandchildren, Jennifer Kissinger, Amanda Luster, Josh Bruno, Justin Bruno, Chasity Ciaramitaro, Tabitha Jadwin, Ryan Davidson, and Blake Baker; 13 great-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be Saturday, June 15, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. at the Floral Baptist Church with Bro. Mike Fowler and Rev. Jeff Davidson officiating. Burial will follow in the Cedar Grove Cemetery near Floral with arrangements by Qualls Batesville Funeral Service.
Visitation will be Friday, June 14, 2019 from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
Pallbearers are Josh Bruno, Justin Bruno, Ryan Davidson, Blake Baker, Aaron Osborn, and Danny Thomason.
Honorary Pallbearers are members of the Men’s Sunday School Class of Floral Baptist Church.
