Virginia Olene (Sneed) Daggett, Age 89, of Saffell, Arkansas passed away peacefully on April 2, 2022. She was born to Alonzo and Sylvia Sneed in Strawberry, Arkansas on May 9, 1932.
Virginia spent her life devoted to her family and enjoyed cooking, gardening and sewing, often creating matching outfits for her seven daughters and nine granddaughters. After retiring from General Electric in Morrison, Illinois, she and her husband spent much of their retirement in Fort Myers, Florida before returning to Saffell in 1994 to enjoy their golden years.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 52 years James Daggett; her sister, Bonita Sullivan; her son, James Daggett Jr.; her daughter, Betty Watson; her grandsons, Eric Pfister and Thomas Pfister and her great grandson Kenneth C. Keehn.
She is survived by six daughters; Ophelia (Alphonse) Pauwels of Saffell, AR, Sylvia Krantz of Strawberry Plains, TN, Patricia (Mark) Johnson of Rock Island, IL, Marilyn (Victor) Taylor of Melbourne, FL, Larane (Steve) Hanna of Deland, FL and Jeanie (Robert) Brown of Pierson, FL.
She is also survived by her twin brother Fredrick O’Neal Sneed of Strawberry, AR and leaves behind 19 grandchildren, 42 great grandchildren, and 18 great-great grandchildren as well as numerous nieces, nephews, friends, and extended family.
A visitation will be held on Thursday, April 7th at 10:00 a.m. at Qualls Funeral Home Chapel in Cave City, Arkansas, prior to the funeral at 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow at the Ward Cemetery in Strawberry.
Serving as pallbearers will be grandsons Kenneth Keehn, Matthew Kirby, Corb Watson, Bryan Watson, John Cole, Nathan Cole, Josh Ryan and nephew Bradley Sneed.
