Virginia Satterfield

Virginia (Gray) Satterfield, 95 of Woodlawn Nursing Home was called to be with her Lord on Tuesday, March 26, 2019. She was born March 20, 1924 at Dowdy, Arkansas to Luther and Delia (Smith) Gray. She was a faithful member of the Pleasant Valley Missionary Baptist Church in Batesville.

She was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Burl Gray and her loving husband of 62 years, Paul Satterfield.

Survivors include two sons, Duane Satterfield of Cave City and Dennis Satterfield (Debbie) of Batesville; one daughter, Kathryn Stoner (Earl) of Southside; 10 grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren; 21 great great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be Saturday, March 30, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. at the Pleasant Valley Missionary Baptist Church in Batesville with Bro. Earl Stoner and Bro. Joe Helms officiating. Burial will follow in the Mt. Zion Cemetery in Batesville with arrangements by Qualls Batesville Funeral Service.

Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. until service time at the church.

Pallbearers will be Howard West, Curtis Neeley, Mark Scott, Vernon Scott, Bill Campbell and Phil Goodwin.

Honorary pallbearers are Michael Woodard, Justin Burge, Kenny Turner, Arvil Vaulner, G. W. Earle, Harley Duke, Terry Garrett, Frank McGaha, Ted Evans, Wayne Baker and Otto Graham.
