Wanda Lee (Hix) Tuten, 88 of Batesville crossed over into Heaven on Monday, January 31, 2022. She was born September 16, 1933 in Batesville, Arkansas to Winford “Pomp” and Minnie Lee (Cossey) Hix. She was a homemaker and a member of Liberty Missionary Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one son, Donnie Tuten; one granddaughter, Brandy Tuten and four brothers, Joe Hix, Wayne Hix, Virgil Hix and Jerry Hix.
Survivors include one son, Ellis Tuten and wife Paulette of Berryville; two daughters, Sharon Goforth of Cave City and Shirley Baffa and husband Gus of Batesville; two sisters, Elveda Brister of Cave City and Glenda James of Batesville; four granddaughters, Shay Tuten, Lori Doyle (Shannon), Ashley Snedker and Maygan Boss (Cletus); one grandson, Shayne Goforth (Tammy); nine great grandchildren, Colton Carter, Trevor Clark, McKinley Doyle, Tanner Doyle, Shelbie Snedker, Chesney Snedker, Braydin Boss, Xander Boss and Landon Boss; and a host of other nieces, nephews, relatives and friends that she loved with all her heart.
Graveside services will be Wednesday, February 2, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. at the Liberty Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery in Gainesboro with Bro. Dennis Green and Bro. Randy Scott officiating. Arrangements are by Qualls Funeral Home of Cave City.
Pallbearers will be Shayne Goforth, Cletus Boss, Colton Carter, Trevor Clark, Tanner Doyle, Braydin Boss, Xander Boss and Landon Boss.
Honorary pallbearers are Ray Hix, Keith James, Arvil D. Vaulner, Charles Vaulner, Billy Coe, Johnny Coles and Shelby Branscum.
