Wesley Turner, 69 of Cave City died Tuesday, April 30, 2019. He was born February 20, 1950 at Batesville, Arkansas to Albert Cicero and Ellen Emogene (Ballard) Turner. He was retired from Pilgrim’s Pride in Batesville and was a member of the Mount View Missionary Baptist Church at Cave City.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Daniel Turner.
Survivors include his wife of 50 years; Jeanette Harris Turner of the home; two sons, James Turner (Lavinia) and Travis Turner (Alex) both of Cave City; brothers, Thurlow Turner (Vickie) and David Turner both of Cave City and Wendell Turner (Christy) of Sidney; sisters, Sue James (Bill) of Little Rock, Helen Walker (Danny) of Strawberry, Shirley Parsley (Darrell) of Poughkeepsie and Linda Bradley (Tim) of Sidney; grandchildren, Blaine Turner, Braxton Turner, Whitney Dickey, Hailey Clay and Lacey Turner; great grandchildren, KallieRae Clay, Everleigh Clay and Maddox Dickey; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be Thursday, May 2, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. at the First Missionary Baptist Church in Cave City with Bro. Ron Canard and Bro. Vance Penn officiating. Burial will follow in the Mount View Cemetery east of Cave City with arrangements by Qualls Funeral Home of Cave City.
Visitation will be Wednesday, May 1, 2019 from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at the church.
Pallbearers will be Wesley Green, Randy Long, Denny Polston, Darrell Sims, Elbert Boozer and Wheeler Water.
Honorary pallbearers are L.C. Spurlock, Rob Smith, James Flynn, Roger Tate, John Carlton, Harold Smart, Glen Ballard and Ed Smith.
