William “Bill” Williamson, age 90, of Batesville, Arkansas passed away October 23, 2022 in Batesville. He was born January 25, 1932 in Pine Island, LA to Charles and Marie Williamson. He was in the ministry for over 50 years. He was assistant Chaplain and a volunteer at White River Medical Center for many years. He served in the Army. Later on he also served in the Air Force and was a World War II Veteran. He loved golf and lived for service to others.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and his wife of over 60 years, Mary Ellen.
Survivors include his son, Robert Williamson (April) of Bella Vista; daughters, Mary Chambers (Kevin) of Jonesboro and Teresa Sharp (Mike) of Southside; four grandchildren, Lindsey Norman, Anna Mullis (Caleb), Charles Williamson and Sarah Strobel (Grant); four great grandchildren, Greyson Norman, Ross Isaac Mullis, Robby Mullis and Jaden Mullis; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, October 27, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. at Qualls Batesville Funeral Service Chapel with Pastor Stacy Reed officiating. Burial will follow in the Oaklawn Cemetery in Batesville.
Arrangements are by Qualls Batesville Funeral Service.
Visitation will be Thursday, October 27, 2022 from 1:00 p.m. until service time at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Robert Williamson, Kevin Chambers, Grant Strobel, Charles Williamson and Mike Sharp.
Honorary Pallbearers are Larry Wood, Ron Taylor, Gene Tulberg and Elliott Andrews.
