William Elvis Dugger, 95 of Batesville died Friday, August 10, 2018. He was born December 18, 1922 at Newark, Arkansas to Claud Carl and Mabel Elizabeth (Holmes) Dugger. He was a cattleman, grocery store owner and a member of the Moorefield United Methodist Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Pauline Sanders Dugger; two brothers, Doyne Dugger and James Dugger and one sister, Nora Burns.
Survivors include two sons, Larry Dugger (Tommie) and Gerry Dugger (Cynthia) both of Batesville; two daughters, Linda Dugger and Paulette Taylor both of Batesville; two brothers, Billy Dugger of Lewisville, Texas and Ralph Dugger of Dallas, Texas; two sisters, Shirley Herzig (Harold) of Batesville and Bobbie McDoniel (Jim) of Newark; beloved neighbors, The Angeles Family; 9 grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be Tuesday, August 14, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. at the Moorefield United Methodist Church with Rev. LaVon Long officiating. Burial will follow in the Tunstall Cemetery located east of Sulphur Rock with arrangements by Qualls Batesville Funeral Service.
Visitation will be Monday, August 13, 2018 from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Terry Dugger, Larry Dugger, Bobby Dugger, Lynn Dugger, Scott Dugger and Damon Frizzell.
Honorary pallbearers are DeWayne Coles, Sammy Coles, Johnny Coles, Gary Tate, Harvey Angeles, Nathan Angeles, Dawson Angeles, Ethan Angeles, Dr. Robert Walton, Zach Garrett, Lonnie Jackson, Kenneth Armstrong, and Jim McDoniel.
