Willie Dean McCord, 72 of Highland died Sunday, June 10, 2018. He was born March 1, 1946 at Ash Flat, Arkansas to Willie Carrel and Irene (Henry) McCord. He worked several years for the Monroe Corporation in Paragould and was on the Cherokee Village Fire Department for several years. He attended Peaceful Harbor Pentecostal Church of God in Batesville. He was a U.S. Army Veteran. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, cutting wood, bowling and softball.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Survivors include his wife Maxine McCord of the home; three sons, Gary McCord (Jennifer), Terry McCord and Tracy McCord all of Paragould; one brother, Jimmy Dale McCord (Joann) of Rogers; one sister, Clarene McCord Morrow (Steve) of Mountain Home; six grandchildren, Morgan McCord Brown (Kord), Garrett McCord, Jordon McCord, Austin McCord, Shayleigh McCord and Hannah McCord; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be Thursday, June 14, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. at the Qualls Funeral Home Chapel in Cave City with Bro. Wally Varner officiating. Burial will follow in the Baker Cemetery in Ozark Acres.
Visitation will be Wednesday, June 13, 2018 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Gary McCord, Terry McCord, Tracy McCord, Garrett McCord, Jordon McCord and Austin McCord.
