Willis E. Hatfield, 90 of Batesville died Saturday, September 15, 2018. He was born May 30, 1928 at Potosi, Missouri to Homer and Bessie Culliver Hatfield. He was a retired tool and die maker and a U.S. Army Korean War Veteran. He was a member of Powell’s Chapel Methodist Church and was a Mason.
He was preceded in death by his parents and four brothers, Vernon, Kenneth, Robert and Herman Hatfield.
Survivors include his wife, Alvetta Anderson Hatfield of the home; one daughter, Karen Holifield (Paul) of Batesville; one granddaughter, Megan Holifield of Batesville; one brother, Joseph Hatfield of Searcy; one sister, Wilma Cole of Stuart, Florida; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be Tuesday, September 18, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. at the Powell’s Chapel Methodist Church near Evening Shade with Rev. Mark McDonald officiating. Burial will follow in the Powell’s Chapel Cemetery with arrangements by Qualls Funeral Home of Cave City.
Visitation will be Monday, September 17, 2018 from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
