W.R. “Billy Rex” Allgood, 84, of Floral died Tuesday, February 19, 2019. He was born October 11, 1934 at Floral, Arkansas to Bill and Sula Pierce Allgood. He was a retired farmer and carpenter and a member of New Bethel Baptist Church in Floral.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Anna York Allgood; infant daughter, Virginia Allgood; and one sister, Virginia Lucille Allgood.
Survivors include one daughter, Connie and Eddie Bartley of El Paso; one brother, Paul and Sharon Allgood of Paris, Missouri; one sister, Carolyn and Doug Wilson of Pleasant Plains; two grandchildren, Christie Adams (Freddie) of Beebe and Billy Bartley (Sarah) of McMinnville, Oregon; six great-grandchildren, Cody Hale, Caleb Hale, Bobby Adams, Paige Adams, Lillie Bartley, and Tower Rex Bartley; one great-great granddaughter, Kinley Drum; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be Saturday, February 23, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. at the New Bethel Baptist Church in Floral with Bro. Randy Altom officiating. Burial will follow in the Burkett Cemetery located at Floral with arrangements by Qualls Batesville Funeral Service.
Visitation will be Friday, February 22, 2019 from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Johnny Sutter, Phillip Sexton, Billy McAdams, John Boswell, Jerry Allen, and Terry Allen.
Honorary Pallbearers are Doug Wilson, Paul Allgood, James Taylor, Jimmy Gould, and Dr. Robert Walton.
The family would like to give a special thanks to Carla Altom and Arkansas Hospice.
