David Worley Collier

David Worley Collier, 75, of Batesville, Arkansas passed away on Monday, June 19, 2023. He was born on April 2, 1948 in San Angelo, Texas to Cornelia Worley Collier and Glenn Dale Collier Sr. David attended Highland High School in Highland, Arkansas and graduated with the class of 1966.

 David served in the U.S. Air Force; he was stationed in Guam and Thailand. Following his military service, he worked various odd jobs where he eventually began working as security officer for Banquet Foods in Batesville, Arkansas. He later became the owner of Specialty Foods Health Food Store. David enjoyed camping, hiking and spending time with animals.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Cornelia Worley Collier and Glenn Dale Collier Sr.; and a brother, Glenn Dale Collier Jr.

He is survived by his son, Shawn Blake of Washington State; his niece, Melissa Collier Whitaker of Lubbock, Texas; his cousin, Tony Collier and wife, Lisa of Batesville, Arkansas; his best friend, Beverly Grigsby of Batesville, Arkansas; and numerous cousins from Arkansas and Texas.

A graveside ceremony will be held at the Pleasant Valley Cemetery in Cushman, Arkansas with arrangements by Qualls Batesville Funeral Service.
